Lice

Lice (plural form of Louse) are tiny, wingless insects that live in the hair and feed on the blood and skin of humans and some animals. Lice and their eggs (referred to as Nits) spend their life cemented to their host’s hair shafts using specialized saliva (called Nit Glue), resulting in a bond that is very difficult to break. Lice are generally passed from host to host by close contact with infested objects such as hair brushes, clothing, furniture, or bedding. Humans are unique because they are host to three different types of Lice: Head Lice, Body Lice, and Pubic Lice (commonly called Crabs).

Everyone is susceptible to Lice, regardless of hair type, length, color, or cleanliness. Children, however, are the most prone to contracting Head Lice while playing in close quarters with each other and having sleepovers. Once a person is infested with Lice, it is of utmost importance to take action quickly to avoid spreading the infestation to others. The most effective Lice treatments are the ones that treat the person(s), treat their environment, and then retreat the person(s) again 7 to 10 days later to kill any Lice and Nits that may have been missed or hatched after the first treatment.

Not all Lice products are equal. Some store-bought brands contain toxic, chemical pesticides that not only kill Lice but can cripple and even kill humans if too much is applied. Most over the counter Lice treatments only come with enough to treat your hair once, then you’re stuck having to buy more. Also, they don’t include anything to kill the Lice in your environment. The All Stop™ Liceadex™ Lice and Nit Treatment System is different. Not only is it a non-toxic, pesticide-free solution, it also includes enough products for 2 complete treatments on a person with shoulder-length hair and the All Stop™ Liceadex™ Home & Bedding Spray for treating the Lice in your environment.
